At Lox Farm After-School Program, we believe the hours after school should be filled with opportunities for children to learn, explore, create, and grow in a safe, encouraging environment. Our unique farm-based program offers a refreshing alternative to traditional after-school care by combining academic support with meaningful, hands-on experiences that help children develop confidence, responsibility, creativity, and real-world life skills. Set on a working farm, students enjoy fresh air, open spaces, and engaging activities that foster a love for learning while encouraging curiosity and independence.
2:00 to 2:30 is Snack Time
Every day we start off with a PRAYER BEFORE snack time.
Our main goal throughout the program is to help children know and have a relationship with our Lord Jesus Christ.
Because we are on a Farm, we put a huge emphasis on washing hands before and after every meal.
Water is a BIG DEAL around here. We make sure all kids drink plenty of water and avoid candy like the plague. Our children need to be alert, healthy and wise. In order to make that possible, we must pay attention to what we feed our children.
We ENCOURAGE parents to send healthy snacks; fruits, vegetables, sandwhiches, etc. We ask that you please refreign from sending candy.
2:30 to 3:30 is Homework Time
Some Children need that one on one support to understand and complete their homework assignments. Others need only to be reminded to stay on task and complete their work. We are commited to checking every student’s work and making sure they understand their subject matter.
Our small class size makes this all possible.
If your child needs even more one on one time in order to successfully understand their work, tutoring services are also available.
Beyond academics and hands-on learning, we are committed to helping children grow into kind, respectful, and compassionate individuals. Through faith and character development, students learn timeless values such as honesty, integrity, gratitude, perseverance, responsibility, and serving others.
These lessons are woven naturally into everyday activities, helping children develop strong character alongside practical knowledge and academic growth.
3:30 to 4:30 is Home Ec / Enrichment Class
At Lox Farm After-School Program, we believe the hours after school should be filled with experiences that YOU as a parent want your child to have.
Many teachings have been lost over time because of the social and economic world we live in. Well… not here!!
Our kids WILL LEARN THE FOLLOWING :
CROCHETING, COOKING/ BAKING, SEWING, HORSEMANSHIP,
BASIC FARM ANIMAL CARE, AND MUCH MUCH MORE!
What they will not be doing is spending hours in front of a television set or electronic device.
4:30 to 5: 30 Outdoor /Playground
It’s important for kids to get plenty of activity. They need to waste energy. They spend a lot of time during the day sitting and being told to FOCUS. Outdoor time is crucial to a healthy child.
We have an amazing playground, with slides, swings, a zip line, a tree house, a trampoline, and a pool. Yes, a POOL.
During the hot summer days in August, we will be utilizing the pool often. If your child doesn’t know how to swim, worry no more. WE WILL TEACH THEM… FOR FREE!
